Risk assessment — before work starts
Do this before anything gets rigged. Tick each hazard once you've looked at it and the control is in place on this site.
Conditions on the day
Declaration
The method statement itself is fixed and prints in the pack — you don't need to write it out each time.
Technical checks
Tick each one as you do it. All must be ticked before the pack can be issued.
Customer handover
What you have walked the customer through, on site.
Installation photos
Worth having: both anchor points, the brake, the seat, and one down the full run. They go in the PDF and are your record if anything is ever queried.
Digital handover sign-off
Before you send
Issue the pack
Works with no signal. The share sheet offers Gmail, Outlook, WhatsApp, Drive — whatever is on the tablet. Tap Copy both email addresses first, then paste into the To field to send the customer and yourself in one go.
Ask for a review
Hold the tablet up while they're still stood next to it — that's the moment they'll actually do it. The same code prints at the end of their PDF.
Finish
Once the pack is sent and saved, clear the form ready for the next job. Nothing is stored anywhere but this tablet.
